SOF2 SERVER IP CHANGED TO 216.246.110.232:20100 & Again for those of you who dont know...we have been having Friday Night Fights every Friday Night starting at 8:00PM EST and ending when the last one bleeds out.

Thanks to everyone who was nice enough to donate to our cause. I have posted in the forums about it, but so everyone knows I have received donations from 3 CBCK Members for playing in our server. Hunter, Rocko, and Driver all have donated. So, I upgraded our 12 slot SOF2 server to a 16 man! Thanks again everyone!

For those not paying attn, I have updated the server map cycle. Right now there's 10 maps in the cycle. I'd like to get that to 20 or so if possible. I even threw in a couple FULL WEAPON DEATH-MATCHES. If theres something you don't like, please post in the forums. While you're there why don't you DONATE? I got stuck for almost $50 last month for the website. A few did donate last month which took care of the server and some of the website payment. I ate the rest. The server bill is due in about a week. I need some money in our acct to pay for it. PLEASE DONATE ASAP!

FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS! -]RoC[- SoF2 Style


As many of you know by now we have been having "Friday Night Fights" in our Soldier of Fortune 2 server every Friday night starting at 8:00PM EST until...the last person bleeds out. The reason for this is to get some of our "ol senior members" back to just have a night of fun. We've had some pretty damn good showings so far, including a showing by the ellusive Arrnor. But your more likely to see, MuthrFKR, CoBRA, Mabus, Fastcat, the Snot Family, DAV, TEX, 6Foot9, Clanko, Fishman_812, Killerbees and even everyones favorite person to inflict pain upon, Blitz.

Please Note: The ROC server is only a 12 man server so this will be first come, first serve basis...with our clan members getting first dibbs. If anyone else can not get in the server because its full, then please check back in a little bit. We'd like the server to be going all night long. If it appears that we will have a good crowd every Fri Night, then we will get a larger server.

The server is up and running right now however, it may take a couple days to get all our configs tweaked. Your Soldier of Fortune II Server has been created. Yes! RoC Lives! We have had a few bumps but we are still here. We are activly working to get the website fully back up and to tweak some settings on the SOF2 server but for the most part we are back up.

Well, its a new year and ROC is off to a great start. We are seeing that our migration to COD4 has been sucessful to this point. Let's not forget that we still have a SOF2 server. I'd like to see our members that havent bought COD4 to keep our SOF2 server active. Alot of us check back on the server to see when people are playing in there. ROC MEMBERS NOTE, installing XFIRE would help keep our server active. I have also recently added GAME TRACKER SOF2 SERVER STATS! This will help you guys keep an eye on who's in the server and when. This site also does individual stats and banners....you've probably seen some of ours in the forums. Also, our website will have a few modifications in the near future. On our home page you will have the option of selecting COD4 section of the website or the SOF2 section. The forums will remain what they are with the exception that COD4 will have more topics than it currently has. This way all ROC members will be in the know if they read the forums. In an attempt to keep ROC moving into the future we will be looking into new games, which include Call of Duty 4. We have a handfull of ROC members playing that now and COD4 looks to be what SOF3 should have been. So, we will see about getting a COD server in the near future.

Well the long anticipated release of SOF3 Payback came out, and from what I can assume "Payback" is a suitable title. From what I understand is Activision lost a lot of money on SOF2 and ended up sitting on more than 1/2 the copies they produced. This "Payback" must be thier little inside joke for producing such a piece of shit game and selling it for $40. I got my copy installed on my computer about 3 hrs ago and all I have been doing since has been complaining about it. OK, outside all the obvious clues that this game would suck, like lack of a 'buzz' about it and no advertising I still believed that sof3 might be pretty good seeing the in game videos. So, I left work and in a ignorant bliss took the rest of the week off to get SOF3 up and running and on our server. My first sign something is not right is, when I pick up the box it feels empty. So, I open it and whew...theres a sof3 disc in there! Its pretty damn plain just being all green..but hey...maybe they spent all thier money on the inside fo the game? Second thing that makes me say huh... thers a code you have to punch in for a free sniper rifle, like I'm playing on XBOX or something. UP UP RIGHT DOWN UP LEFT DOWN UP UP RIGHT...wtf? FUCK IT...lets load this bitch. Hmm wheres my serial number? FUCK I CANT FIND MY SN...WTF DID I DO WITH IT? Well, lets try to load it and see what happens. Hmm everything loads fine, and really quick. Its on a dvd, thought it would take a little longer than 5 mins to load...but whatever. Lets get to the game. So, I decide to go into settings and make sure all the settings are jacked up as high as I can get them...hmmm wait a minute..how come theres no settings for video WTF..Ony setting I found was whether I wanted the screen res to be 800X600 up to 1600X1200. So then I go into controls, and wonder to myself wheres all the controls at? Outside of the very basic, theres nothing to control. But, that does fix the lean bug sof2....sof3 just makes sure you cant lean....brilliant! So, fuck this shit. I want to play...hmm why cant I get out of the options page? Wheres the back button or accept the settings? Fuck now what? After a few dissappointing minutes spent there I was like FUCK IT... ESC out of this POS! Oh wait.. esc is the key for back..ok. Its a little stupid they didnt make it a little more intuitive but ...HEY...lets go check out the MP! OK... hmm whats this on screen keyboard I have to use? Can't I just type my name using my keyboard? Appearantly NOT! So, as Im trying to type -]RoC[- MuthrFKR on the playskool looking keyboard I find out my name is too long...wow another dissapointment! But hold on to your hats...its going to get.....well worst. The only way SOF3 can be run for MP is on a local machine. meaning it CAN NOT be set up on a game server like sof2 is. Which means the only games to play online are being run from Tommies computer down the street or accross the world. When I was on, there were only 2 servers with 2 players in them. Sure...its just came out. But theres should be atleast a few servers runing the game..no? So, maybe I'll try the single player until the mp gets worked out. ALRIGHT...here's my mission. MMMHMMMM So and so got kidnapped and is being held captive ...all right.... Are you up to saving their ass? "YES I AM!" Ok... wheres my map and what am I doing again? OH yeah...follow this dude and take out the towers....but he's telling me to go on my own. Hmm Where am I supposed to be going? I see some kind of box on my screen with some numbers around it..but wtf is that? Hmm maybe its the direction and distance I need to go... man screw this. Wheres my COD4 disc? Maybe they can add a gore patch to that and make it what SOF3 should have been. But thats just my opinion.

Well our new ClanWarz server is up and running and our old server is gone. The new IP is 208.100.43.208:20100 stop by and check it out. We are still tweeking some things but it seems to be working great so far. One note: The PBSS from the new server is not working just yet but I hope to have it fixed soon and by the way Blitz is a pussy ass faggot and I love sucking his dick.

Haze@Clanwarz gaming servers has informed me today that they decided to continue to sponsor our clan...free of charge. A Big thanks goes out to him. Thanks to Rage our mapcycle is more fun to play and drawing SOF2 players from a wide variety of clans. After doing some soul searching, I realized that my ROC family was too damn good to let die. I decieded that if I was actually going to try to revive ROC, I need to take a firm stand and address the issues that put my clan in this possition. FIRST ISSUE IS, ADMIN ABUSE. From now on, this will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. I will be evaluating our current admins conduct, and cutting back on what commands they can use. Therefore, If you want to be a part of the NEW ROC, then forget about what came second nature to you. ADMNS WILL NOT BE ABUSING ANYONE ANY MORE! Other things I am working on are, working on the server, new server messages and cfgs. Getting our own TS up and running perminatly. Starting from scratch on the forum and weeding out former members. With Arrnor offering help, I think we can get this broken down dingy built into the battleship it once was. Things are lookng up already. Blitz & Rage have expressed interest in coming back, and a former member Satan Soldier asked to join again tonight. I have recieved 3 donations today alone from Fastcat, Cobra and Satan's Soldier. Looks like our current member list isnt as bad as I originally thought. Its about that time boys and girls... Time to fold it up and put it away. The RoC clan has just a faint heartbeat and no one is around to revive it. Looks like its history. These guys were the most influencial in making RoC what it was. He had a great run of almost 5 years. I feel like I have raised a child and I'm now letting it go on its own. As for me, you'll probably see me in the MAX server if I play. I have noticed that most of the MAX clan is made out of former ROC members and friends. I wont be shutting down this server just yet. Clanwarz still sponsors us and as long as they do, we have a free server. So, its pointless to shut it down. I will be changing the name of it and trying to get more traffic in it. If I start to see more traffic, I may choose to try to revive RoC and start recruiting again. Hell, Im not sure what to do. I know I hate to leave RoC like this but, theres nothing going on here. For those who havent noticed someone hacked our forums again. Arrnor set them back up using a different program that we had to buy. I took $70 out of our donations to purchase it. It is supposed to be more secure than the free open source program we were using before. It's supposed to be harder for hackers to get in, but like anything nothing is perfect. Unfortunatly, the last back up to our forums was dated in June, so expect to see some old posts and be missing all new posts. Sorry for the inconvience but before long no one will know the difference. Also expect some tweaking as we learn to use the new program correctly.

For all those that were bitching about links on the site being broken, We are activly working on fixing the shit that the hackers fucked up.

For all you shitmaggots looking for our forums and the rest of the website... I am too. In all reality, our website was hacked on a few occations in the last year. I suspect one of those times was to plant a "Credit Card Fishing Scheme" on our site. Unfortunatly the host we were using POWWEB was too fuckin stupid to realize we were hacked, but instead decided to blame us and shut the site down. I have currently moved all OUR files (deleted the files that cause this problem) to another host (CPGaming. Depetris is trying to help me get this shit figured out and back up. We have everything moved except the sql databases that run the forums and a few other things. So, the site wont back to normal until I get that shit from POWWEB. They are supposed to call me with a verdict as to what they are going to do.... in 24-48hrs ....48 hrs ago. So, Im WAITING!!! I also found 4 viruses along with the file used for the fishing scheme...all of which have been deleted. One would have to assume that if our former host was doing its job keeping our website from being hacked....we wouldnt have this problem in the first place. But, you get what you pay for...and they were cheap.a>.
